Pez is a dish very close to every Goans heart. It is compulsorily eaten by every Catholic Goan at least twice a year that is Good Friday and ash wednesday (days of fasting and abstinence).
Ingredients-
- 1 cup Goan Rice
- 4-5 cups water
- salt to taste

Preparation
Boil in rice in plenty of water with salt to taste, turn down the heat and cook till rice is tender, about 30 minutes. Do not drain the water
Pez is eaten with fresh clam curry (Pale bhaji: Pale is a type of green leaf, looks like spinach and bhaji stands for curry), fish curry, salt fish or pickle.
